The Roost is the family’s shared room on the phone. A chore board everyone can see, a calendar that doesn’t pretend to be a business tool, quick-tap chat for the people who live with you, and family calling that doesn’t need anyone’s Apple ID or anyone else’s server.

Designed around the Hearth: the cream-paper home screen everyone in the household lands on. Quick-tap chat falls back to MultipeerConnectivity when CloudKit is slow; calling rides WebRTC with CallKit so it feels native, not a "video conferencing" app.
