Ten small apps,
made by one person.
Every app keeps its own name and audience. The studio is the shared signage around them.
Cairn
A small stack of stones to mark your way
Mindful HealthKit fitness tracking — workouts, habits, journal, goals — wrapped in a painted-dawn UI that respects the day you actually had.
The Roost
For the family that wants their phone to feel like home
Chore board, shared calendar, quick-tap family chat, family calling — in a cream-paper editorial UI. CloudKit-synced; nobody else gets the data.
Wagcast
Weather, with a dog
A premium weather app with an honest forecast and a golden-retriever mascot who never lies about rain. WeatherKit primary, OpenMeteo fallback, NEXRAD radar.
Seven more apps under the same signage.
Peak Pomodoro
Focus, in 25-minute summits
Kanban Terminal
Your work board, your shell, one window
Northland Noise
Loops for sleep, focus, and quiet rooms
Daydream Retriever
A dreamy flap through the soft-edged sky
Henhouse Defenders
A cozy tower defense, but the towers are chickens
Mollie's Henhouse
A cozy chicken-tending sim
Cascadia
Falling blocks, forest light
One person makes
the apps. The signage all matches. The apps do not.
Northland Studios is a solo, family-driven app shop. We make small things, made well — the kind of apps that feel handmade, not optimized. Calm utilities, niche games, family software that doesn't read your messages.
The studio is the umbrella; the apps are independent under it. We ship a new one when we have something real to show, and we keep the old ones working.
Open year-round. Publishing apps quarterly. Built by hand.
